These trailers come equipped with essentials like toilets, urinals, sinks, lights, and ventilation, and can meet most people's needs as mobile toilets. Their prices typically depend on their size and the number of restroom units. Take our smallest, also cheapest option, as an example. Our 2.5m toilet trailer is suitable for small events or projects and can serve about 50 people. It starts at around $4,600. Construction Materials

We don't really know what materials our competitors are using, but here at ETO, we offer the best only. Besides, we give our clients the freedom to choose the materials they want for their trailers. You can pick from a variety of options for the exterior walls.

XPS (Extruded Polystyrene)
Default

XPS is the default exterior wall material for all our models. It is a high-quality lightweight material with excellent corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, durability, and environmental friendliness.

Fiberglass Honeycomb Panel
Optional

This panel consists of two layers of fiberglass with a honeycomb core in between. It is even lighter than XPS, so becomes the main material for our Super Lightweight Toilet Trailer Series.

Cold-Rolled Steel
Optional

For outdoor locations, an all-steel construction that can withstand harsh natural elements is what you should have. Cold-rolled steel is a highly recommended material for the exterior walls of your restroom trailer because of its exceptional strength and durability.

However, we also offer customization services, allowing us to tailor the length, width, and height of the trailer to create a portable restroom trailer that perfectly fits your location.

Restroom Station Numbers

As a project manager, it's essential to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) codes regarding restroom facilities on your worksite. According to OSHA regulations, workplaces with fewer than 20 employees must have at least one restroom available. For workplaces with 20 or more employees, there should be one toilet for every 40 individuals. Also, you need to take gender into consideration. There are two options for you:

Option 1
For optimal privacy and comfort

Build separate restroom stations for each gender

Option 2
For Minimizing Cost

Create all-gender restrooms by outfitting each station with a toilet and a urinal.

Breakdown Costs of Buying Portable Restroom Trailers

Besides Portable Restroom Trailer Prices, There are Other Costs

In addition to the portable restroom trailer price itself, there are other potential costs to consider when you buy restroom trailers.

Shipping & Delivery Fees

Shipping and delivery costs are essential considerations when buying restroom trailers, whether from local or overseas manufacturers. These costs vary based on factors such as distance, transportation method, and logistical complexities. Let's look at the fees for both local and overseas options.

Local Manufactures

  • Distance & Location:Local manufacturers deliver themselves or ask for third-party delivery providers, and the delivery costs usually depend on the distance between the origin and destination. Some companies may offer free delivery within the state.

  • Transportation Method: Mobile restroom trailers are transported to designated locations via trucks, which are faster, cheaper, and more flexible. However, for interstate deliveries involving dozens of units, rail transport may be necessary, which will incur higher costs.

  • Delivery:Delivery times vary depending on factors like traffic, road conditions, and potential road restrictions. Even for local deliveries, it may take up to a day, while longer distances may require a week or more. It's important to note that some companies do not deliver on weekends or holidays.

  • Installation Services: Some local manufacturers offer installation services as part of the delivery package. This may include on-site setup, anchoring or leveling the trailers and connecting utilities. Installation services incur additional fees but ensure that the portable restroom trailers are ready for immediate use upon delivery.

Overseas Manufactures

  • Shipping Services: Trailers that are delivered globally are transported via cargo ships, which is a slower and more expensive method than trucks or trains, and are handled by third-party international shipping companies. Some manufacturers, like us, partner with these companies and freight forwarders to secure the best shipping  and delivery solutions.

  • Customs Clearance and Taxes: Importing goods from overseas requires compliance with customs regulations and payment of import duties, taxes, and clearance fees.

  • Shipping Insurance: To mitigate risks associated with international transportation, most companies, including ours, offer shipping insurance to protect against loss, damage, or theft during international transportation. Insurance costs range from $200 to $1000. Though it may seem a bit pricey, the extra expense provides peace of mind for both manufacturers and buyers.

  • Lead Times and Delays: Regardless of the shipping or delivery method, delays are possible. Customs inspections, port congestion, and adverse weather conditions can cause delivery delays, route changes, and inventory management challenges, resulting in additional costs for shipping.

Utilities

Portable restroom trailers require electricity and water for the smooth work of some amenities and devices. They are designed to connect to local utilities for a stable power supply.

  • Electricity: Portable generators are needed to power lighting, air conditioning, sockets, and water pumps.
  • Clean Water: use a soft hose to connect the trailer to city water or directly fill the freshwater tank
  • Waste Water: For environmental and hygiene reasons, sewage and gray water must be disposed of at designated locations.

Service & Maintenance Costs

If you're looking to purchase rather than rent, regular maintenance and upkeep of trailers to ensure optimal functionality and cleanliness incur the following costs:

  • Cleaning Fees: Typically range from $100 to $200 per mobile restroom trailer per month, depending on usage frequency and location. Occasionally, deep cleaning such as emptying and sanitizing holding tanks may be required.
  • Supplies and Consumables: Each restroom stall needs items like toilet paper, soap, towels, and cleaning agents, which need regular replenishment. If you buy these items in bulk, you may get wholesale prices.
  • Regular maintenance: The cost typically ranges from $200 to $500 per session, covering various system and accessory tests, seal replacements, electrical inspections, etc.
  • Replacement Parts: Faulty components and fixtures need timely replacement by professionals.
  • Waste Disposal: Additional charges may apply for disposing of waste and wastewater from holding tanks.
